Before handing off a website or pushing it live, I run through the same checklist every time. Here’s a simplified version you can use.
## Content
– Check for placeholder text (“Lorem ipsum”) left in any section
– Confirm all contact details are correct
– Proofread headings and page titles
## Functionality
– Test every navigation link
– Submit the contact form and confirm the email arrives
– Check that buttons like Call and WhatsApp actually open correctly on mobile
## Responsiveness
– View the site on an actual phone, not just browser dev tools
– Check tablet width layouts for overlapping elements
## Performance & SEO
– Compress any large images
– Set a meta title and description for each page
– Confirm the site has a favicon
## Final Check
– Test the 404 page
– Make sure the site is using HTTPS
Running through this list before launch catches most of the issues that are easy to miss when you’ve been staring at the same project for weeks.
